REGARDING REGISTRATION OF STUDENTS FOR SUMMER SESSION

This is to inform the University Community that the Vice Chancellor has, on behalf of the Senate, approved the introduction of the Summer Session in the academic calendar of the university.  This session which will run for six weeks – August 1 to September 14, 2018 – is intended for all students who have deficiencies (carry-overs) in their academic programmes.

Interested students are to register online with the ICT Unit with the sum of N10,000.00 (ten thousand naira only) per credit unit and N15,000.00 (fifteen thousand naira only) for hostel accommodation for those who wish to stay on campus during the period.

Registration commences on August 1 and ends August 10, 2018.  Students could register a maximum of 26 credit units.

Students who wish to stay in the hostel are to return for the programme on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, while lectures will commence on Thursday, August 2, 2018.

Deans and heads of departments are to liaise with the Timetable Committee for lecture venues while the ICT Manager will create the summer session portal for students’ registration.

Lecturers who participate in the programme will be remunerated as appropriate. Concerned heads of departments should monitor the attendance and participation of their lecturers while the Director of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance will ensure that lectures are properly delivered.
