Mass Communication Department of Godfrey Okoye University holds its 2nd Annual International Multi-disciplinary Conference.
Theme: Information and Communication Technology (ICT): Media and Mass Communication at crossroads.
The conference which is held annually is a large gathering of media executives, academicians and practitioners of mass communication from different parts of the globe to interact and exchange ideas and experiences.
This year, the conference focuses on the esoteric area of information communication technology. ICT is a very important part of communication which is information communication technology. ICT has redefined mass communication.
The conference aims to take advantage the intercontinental interdependence of mass communication and ICT to promote a harmonious cross fertilization of ideas of techniques and practices with the view to using the tools of ICT to combat crime, misinformation and internet fraud, fakes news, hate speech and wide propaganda amongst other ills, through scientific innovation and forensic collaboration
