Blessing of the DVC office
The Vice Chancellor of Godfrey Okoye University Enugu, Reverend Father Professor Christian Anieke says the institution has no room for those who cut corners to get rewards. Rather, Reverend Father Professor Anieke said the management of the institution will always recognize and reward those that are honest and committed to their duties. Correspondent Godwin Umeh reports that the Vice Chancellor stated this during the blessing of the office of the new Deputy Vice Chancellor of the university, Sister Professor Marysylvia Nwachukwu. The Vice Chancellor explained that a good office inspires a staff to work well and harder. The Dean Faculty of Law, Professor Gozie Ogbodo described the blessing of the new DVC’s office as a celebration of excellence and hardwork. Professor Nwachukwu described the university as a family and urged the members of staff to continue to be united and work together.
The blessing of the DVC office was witnessed by the principal officers of the university –the registrar, Dr. Nnamdi N.S. Ene, the Librarian, Mrs. Mary-Allen Chijioke, the Bursar, Dr. Mrs. Modesta Egiyi, the Dean Faculty of Management Sciences, Professor Sergius Udeh, the Head of Department of Business Management, Dr. Mrs. Pat Alison, the Director of ICT, Mr. Chinedu Chibuzo and two members of Daughters of Divine Love Congregation, Enugu.
