Meet Godfrey Okoye University Enugu Vice Chancellor for One Day, Miss Kaitlin Gee Akwada, a 400 level student of English and Literary Studies, Faculty of Arts.

Miss Kaitlin having maintained a CGPA of 5.0 for 2 semesters, was crowned the VC for One Day by the Vice Chancellor Godfrey Okoye University Enugu, Rev. Fr. Prof. Christian Anieke.

Present to celebrate her were her parents, grand parents and brother.

In her speech titled ‘Speak what you Seek’ Miss Kaitlin said ‘you can achieve what you call forth but first you must take action as there’s power in the spoken word’.

The initiative was introduced by the VC to encourage academic competition and excellence among students.

Since it’s inception in 2019, only women have emerged winners.

The winner of the VC for one day, serves as the VC of GOU for a full working day, addresses students, staff and the University Senate and is entitled to a full session scholarship with induction into the University’s Hall of Fame.
