Parents Asked To Show Interest in the Academic Performance of Their Children
Parents of students of Godfrey Okoye University Enugu are advised to show greater interest in the academic performance of thier children.
The Vice Chancellor of the university, Rev. Fr. Prof. Christian Anieke gave the advice while addressing a combined congregation of workers of the university.
Rev. Fr. Prof. Anieke explained that it was to keep the parents abreast of the academic activities of their children that the management of the institution set up a portal that would enable parents to view the performance of their children.
The Vice Chancellor warned that the management of the institution would not tolerate any teaching staff that delayed the computation and submission of students’ results.
He stressed the need for the members of staff of the university to be more committed to their duties.
Rev. Fr. Prof Anieke said Nigerians should not be discouraged with the outcome of February 25th elections but turn out en masse and elect knowledgeable and committed Nigerians that will lead them at the state level.
Responding on behalf of the workers, the Dean School of Postgraduate Studies of the university, Prof. Aaron Eze noted with appreciation, the commitment of the vice Chancellor to rapid growth of the university.
