Peace Conference Highlights at Godfrey Okoye University

We were honoured to host this year’s Professor Marygloria Njoku Peace Conference at our Thinkers Corner campus. The event featured insightful discussions on the pursuit of peace in our world.

Prof. George Udeh, Director of the DNA Centre, Nigeria, who represented the Vice-Chancellor of Godfrey Okoye University emphasized the importance of having confidence in Jesus Christ for finding true peace.

Ms. Josie Hough from Globethic.net spoke about the impact of social media on peace, highlighting the need to use these platforms responsibly.

 Mr. Ken Ike Okere, former Zonal Director of FRCN, addressed the issue of fake news and fact-checking, reminding us to verify information from social media before sharing.

Mr. Christopher Uwakwe, Director of the Directorate of Entrepreneurship, discussed how entrepreneurship can be a path to peace and prosperity.

 We celebrated the outstanding contributions of Mrs. Ogochukwu Agatha Onyia and Mr. Christopher Uwakwe with well-deserved awards for their efforts in promoting peace.

Together, we recognize that peace is essential for growth and development. Let’s continue to promote peace in our communities and beyond.
