Vice Chancellor of Godfrey Okoye University Enugu Emphasizes Unity and Faith in his Sermon.
The Vice Chancellor of Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu, who also serves as the Rector of Omnium Sanctorum Chaplaincy, Thinkers Corner Enugu, delivered an inspiring sermon during Holy Mass to mark the beginning of this year’s Unity Week of the Students Council of Honours.
In his address, Reverend Father Professor Anieke called on students to be symbols of unity, urging them to pursue unity in all their activities and to understand it in the context of the feast of the Holy Spirit. He emphasized the importance of expressing faith in the Trinity through the cross sign and encouraged the faithful to obey God’s commandments, loving Him with all their hearts and souls.
Reverend Father Anieke highlighted that Unity Week is an opportunity to celebrate the university’s commitment to dialogue, including cultural and religious discussions. He reminded everyone that God keeps His promises and commandments, ensuring prosperity for them and their children.
The priest also noted that today is dedicated by the church to celebrate the Sunday of the Holy Trinity, reminding the congregation that God is one but in three persons. He prayed for the grace of the Trinity to enter the souls of the students, fostering unity within them.
May we all take this message to heart and strive to embody unity and faith in our daily lives.
