Godfrey Okoye University Enugu is all set to introduce Pharmacy and Medical Laboratory as part of its academic programmes for the 2025-2026 academic year!
In a recent address by the Vice Chancellor, Reverend Father Professor Christian Anieke, it was also revealed that the Computer Science department has been upgraded to the new Faculty of Computing, where all teaching will be conducted using smart boards and computers!
The new faculty will offer courses in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and many more cutting-edge fields.
We are also proud to share that the College of Medicine at Godfrey Okoye University continues to make waves, with pioneer students set to take their 2nd MB examinations in March 2025, marking a significant milestone towards their graduation. Our college is among the first to get approval for both 1st and 2nd MB examinations within a few years of establishment! The students will be moving to our Teaching Hospital in Enugu thereafter, which is equipped with a new Accident and Emergency Department.
This academic session, tagged as the “Cross Over Year”, marks the ambitious vision and mission for the university in 2024-2025, aiming for 1,000 new students and 350 postgraduates. We are committed to encouraging thriving programmes while discontinuing unperforming ones, ensuring quality in everything we do!

Our Vice Chancellor highlighted the trust placed in our institution’s performance, and we are thrilled to welcome Lux Mundi University into our exchange and partnership programmes with international institutions.
During the visit, Professor Gabriel Okenwa, Proprietor of Lux Mundi University, expressed gratitude for the mentorship, confident that this partnership will fast-track their growth. The meeting ended with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to formalize this collaboration.
