Empowering Our Students for the Future!
The participants of the Godfrey Okoye University Students Entrepreneurial Programme (STEP) have received a remarkable boost of €5,000 and ₦5 million to kickstart their business ventures!
During the presentation, our esteemed Vice-Chancellor, Reverend Father Professor Christian Anieke, encouraged the students to seize this opportunity to create and manage their own businesses, contributing to a future filled with genuine income and financial stability. He emphasized that STEP is part of our commitment to reducing unemployment among graduates in Nigeria, preparing our students to become entrepreneurs and job creators.
Father Anieke highlighted that every student must earn a STEP certificate before graduating, as the program equips them with practical skills that extend beyond the classroom. He commended Mr. Chris Uwakwe, Director of STEP, for his outstanding dedication to making this vision a reality.
Earlier, Mr. Uwakwe expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor for supporting the program and pledged that the Directorate of Entrepreneurial Studies will continue to equip students with essential skills to become future employers of labour.
Congratulations to all the beneficiaries! We can’t wait to see your businesses thrive!
