The Institute of Caregiving Education, Godfrey Okoye University Enugu, ended the year in style, celebrating the remarkable success of its graduates. Nearly all alumni have secured meaningful employment both in Nigeria and abroad, solidifying the institute’s reputation as a beacon of excellence in caregiving education.
During the 2024 end-of-year get-together, the Coordinator, Associate Professor Mrs. Blessing Udeh, highlighted the institution’s strides in transforming caregiving training. The curriculum now includes modern courses in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), end-of-life support, palliative care, geriatrics, and pediatrics—setting a new standard in caregiving education.
In a proud moment, she revealed that one of the institute’s graduates was recognized as the Best Doctor of Philosophy Candidate in Canada.
The Chairman of the occasion, Professor Titus Freeman Nwanne, praised the visionary leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Reverend Father Professor Christian Anieke, for establishing the institute. He commended the institute’s contributions to addressing critical needs, including the care of the elderly, the motherless, the less privileged, and individuals with health challenges.
