Dr. Alphonsus Onyeachonam Nwafor is a dedicated scholar in Political Science Education and Curriculum Studies and currently lectures at Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu. He is recognized for his academic depth, research contributions, and commitment to training the next generation of educators and leaders.
Dr. Nwafor earned his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Enugu State University of Science and Technology (2024), following an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction (2021), an M.Sc. in Human Security and Counterterrorism Diplomacy (2019), and a B.Sc. (Ed) in Political Science Education from Godfrey Okoye University (2017). He also holds a National Certificate in Education in Political Science Education and Ecumenism from the Institute of Ecumenical Education, Enugu (2003). His academic path reflects a strong interdisciplinary foundation that bridges political science, security studies, and curriculum development.
As a lecturer, Dr. Nwafor is deeply involved in teaching, research, and mentorship. He also serves as the National President of the Godfrey Okoye University Alumni Association, where he advances institutional growth through alumni collaboration and leadership initiatives. A fellow of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, he demonstrates an enduring commitment to academic excellence, educational reform, and professional standards in teaching.
Through his scholarship, teaching, and service, Dr. Nwafor continues to contribute to the advancement of curriculum and instruction as well as political science education in Nigeria, with a vision of aligning education with global trends and national development needs.
