Prof. Michael Amadihe Ezugu is a distinguished scholar of English language and literature and a revered mythologist in South Eastern Nigeria. He earned his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in English from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and furthered his training at the University of Stirling, Great Britain. Over the course of his career, he has served in various academic leadership roles at the Federal Polytechnic, Idah, and the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu, before joining Godfrey Okoye University.

A prolific researcher and creative writer, Prof. Ezugu has authored influential plays such as The Gods Do Not Lie and Death at Dusk, alongside numerous scholarly publications in journals, edited volumes, and conference proceedings. His research explores African literature, drama, mythology, gender and cultural studies, sociolinguistics, and language pedagogy. Beyond his academic contributions, he is widely recognized for his mythological insights, particularly his interpretations of masking, ritual performance, and indigenous belief systems in Igbo society.

He is a member of leading professional associations, including the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL), the West African Association for Commonwealth Literature and Language Studies (WAACLAS), the Literary Society of Nigeria (LSN), and the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA).
