Another international milestone for Godfrey Okoye University as its debaters and public speakers stand out at the International Women Debate Open 2026.

Godfrey Okoye University continues to make a strong impression on the international stage as its students recorded remarkable performances at the International Women Debate Open (IWDO) 2026, organized by the Baseline Orators Network from March 6th to 8th.

Among the outstanding participants was Egbogu Favour Ogechukwu, who finished as 3rd Runner-Up in the Public Speaking category with an impressive score of 78.5, after a closely contested 3–2 split decision. She also ranked 7th among the Top 10 Best Debate Speakers, further demonstrating her strength in both public speaking and debate.

Ajoiyi Kosisochukwu Priscilla also delivered an exceptional performance. She emerged 3rd among the Top 10 Public Speakers and secured a place as the 5th Best Debate Speaker, showing remarkable consistency and eloquence across both events.

In the public speaking category, Ojiako Judith Amarachi distinguished herself by finishing 5th among the Top 10 Public Speakers, a testament to her clarity of thought and confident delivery.

Ifeanyi Kamsi Best also earned recognition on the international stage, finishing 8th among the Top 10 Public Speakers, further highlighting the depth of talent within the Godfrey Okoye University debating and public speaking community.

These achievements reflect the dedication, preparation, and intellectual discipline of the students, as well as the growing culture of excellence in debate and public speaking at Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu.
