Bluecode Africa Set to Host a Hackathon Competition at Godfrey Okoye University!
Bluecode Africa is set to host an innovative Hackathon Competition right here at Godfrey Okoye University!
This partnership was solidified during a meeting with key figures: Frank Okebanama (HOD Computer Science), Dr. Dietmar, Mrs. Uchanta Chukwu (Director of Competitions), Mr. Odin Krismayr (Managing Director, Bluecode Africa), Mr. Daniel Ekweani, Mr. Adedayo Lamina, and Miss Eberechukwu Chinedu.
This hackathon will not only grant visibility to GOUNI but also open up incredible skills and job opportunities for our students.
Who is Bluecode? Bluecode is a trailblazer in the financial sector, creating a seamless payment system integrated into banking and mobile technology. With partnerships across Europe and Africa, including collaborations with Fidelity, Kuda, FCMB, UBA, and universities like LASU and UNILAG, Bluecode is making waves in the payment space.
Their vision for Nigeria is to become the go-to solution for instant payments—offering scan-to-pay, certainty of refunds, anonymous payments, and more—ensuring a secure and user-friendly experience for merchants and customers alike.
The hackathon will be a platform for our students to innovate, create, and contribute towards building this next-gen payment solution!
