Godfrey Okoye University is celebrating another massive milestone as our brilliant students, Amolo Success and Ekwe Princess, have emerged as the champions of the South East Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) regional quiz competition.
The unstoppable duo, representing the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, went head-to-head with several top universities across the South East region, defeating them all to claim the coveted first-place trophy. Amolo Success, a student of Accounting, and Ekwe Princess, a student of Economics, proved their academic mettle and brought immense honour to their faculty. With this regional victory secured, they have officially qualified to represent the entire South East zone at the grand finale coming up this July.
This spectacular win comes as a great milestone for the university. Looking back at 2025, Godfrey Okoye University came incredibly close to the crown, finishing as the first runner-up in the South East Regional Quiz for undergraduates of Management Sciences. This year, our students took that experience, put in the hard work, and brought the ultimate prize home.
Reacting to the wonderful news, the Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Christian Anieke expressed his immense joy and extended his warmest congratulations to the winning duo. He praised them for their dedication, intellectual brilliance, and for flying the university’s flag high on such a competitive regional stage.
In a special note of appreciation, the Vice-Chancellor also highly commended the Director of Competitions for their strategic guidance, tireless efforts, and continuous commitment to training and leading our students to landmark victories across the nation.
Let us show our champions, the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, and their leadership some love. Drop a congratulatory message for Success, Princess, and the Directorate of Competitions in the comments below as they head to the national finals.
