In the true spirit of Christmas, Godfrey Okoye Creche, Nursery, and Primary Schools hosted an extraordinary celebration for less privileged children in our community. This year, instead of visiting their homes, we invited them to our school to experience the warmth of our academic environment and share in the festive joy.

Head Teacher, Mrs. Ujuwan Ajibo-Eze, highlighted this change in approach, emphasizing the need to give these children a sense of belonging. The event was graced by Rev. Fr. Prof. Christian Anieke, Vice-Chancellor and Director of Godfrey Okoye University, who expressed immense joy at the turnout and the impactful connection made with the community.

Co-sponsor Bernadette Wakolbinger Pienz shared her motivation for the event, pledging to use her expertise and resources to continue supporting children in developing countries. Her vision promises even greater partnerships and opportunities for more children in the future.

Medical practitioner, Dr. Patricia Mbah, also contributed by mentoring and counseling the children, encouraging parents to bridge communication gaps with their children to foster mental and physical growth.

The event featured exciting activities, including group discussions for self-expression, music and dance performances, and the distribution of gift items. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, unity, and hope for a brighter future.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all sponsors, parents, and participants who made this day memorable. Together, we are shaping leaders of tomorrow and fostering the values of giving and community spirit.
