Can I pay in two instalments?

Yes, you can pay 60% first semester (October) and 40% in the second semester (February). Any other adjustment should be discussed with the university Bursar.

What do I need to study for the hostel?

Personal Laptop, Cell phone, a box with lock, a one-person plastic table and chair, a cupboard with locks, buckets, water cans, two-bed sheets and pillow and pillow slips, mosquito net, cooking utensils and kero stove (if you want), mop, hangers and pegs. The university will provide mattresses. If you are not in Enugu, some of these items could be bought from markets close to the campus.

Does the university feed students?

No, students are allowed to cook or buy food at restaurants.

Can I stay off campus?

NO, Except on health conditions or if you are taking care of an elderly or sick relative. You will, however, apply to the Vice Chancellor for an off-campus permit.

When can I resume the new academic session?

Compulsorily, 300 Level students of Medicine and Surgery will return on 26th September, 2024. 100 and 200 Level students of Medicine and Surgery will return with the rest of the students of other faculties on 4th October, 2024

How do I locate the university?

Can I book a taxi pick up?

Yes. Download Bolt TAXI APP from the Play Store or APPLE STORE. When you reach Enugu, request a taxi pick-up using the Bolt app. alternatively, pick a local KeKe or a bus to bring you to the university’s main gate.

Are there BANK ATM Machines around?

Yes. The university has GTbank and UBA ATMs within the campus.

Other bank ATMs can be located nearby.

What documents do I need to present on resumption?

You must report to the Admissions Unit at the Office of the Registrar between 9 AM and 4 PM to submit hard copies of the following

  • Jamb change of institution printout (if Godfrey Okoye University was not your first choice)
  • Evidence of upload of Olevel result to JAMB
  • Print out of original Jamb result
  • Evidence of all payments
  • Olevel results (NCE, OND where applicable)
  • Passport photograph
  • Birth certificate
  • Medical Report
  • Letter of undertaking by sponsor
  • Declaration for change of name (If any)
  • Hostel Card to be presented to the hostel officers before you will be allowed to enter the hostel.
