Foundation Day Celebration at Godfrey Okoye University Enugu!
The Vice-Chancellor of Godfrey Okoye University, Reverend Father Professor Christian Anieke, has called on faculty officials in universities across Nigeria to tackle the pressing challenges facing our country. Speaking at the Foundation Day event, he emphasized the university’s commitment to strengthening every sector within the institution to contribute meaningfully to national development.
Since its humble beginnings in 2009 with just two faculties, Godfrey Okoye University has grown to include five faculties, a College of Medicine, a School of Nursing, and a School of Postgraduate Studies. Proudly ranked as one of the best private universities in Nigeria and the top institution in the South-East and South-South regions, the university stands as a beacon of excellence in education.
Though 15 years might seem brief, Father Anieke acknowledged the challenges faced during the journey, especially given Nigeria’s current realities. Yet, the progress made remains a testament to resilience and vision.
Heartfelt messages of goodwill were shared by student representatives, principal officers, and deans, all marking this momentous occasion.
