GO University goes digital, gets Satellite Television Licence
Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu takes on another Giant Stride. GO University has continued to distinguish itself from other universities in the country. The university successfully received an operational license from Nigeria Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) to lunch a Television Station: a University TV and the first of its kind on the East of the Niger.
The news of this great achievement was announced with great joy and esteem by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Christian Anieke at the University Radio Station (GOUNI Radio – 106.9 FM) on Friday 21st September 2018. With showers of praise and happiness to God who made the long aspiration an eventual accomplishment, the Vice Chancellor announced that the university has concluded and completed all documentary requirements with NBC and shall begin the buildup to the structural and logistic phase of the project almost immediately.
Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu is the second university in Nigeria (after the University of Lagos) to achieve such feet as having a license to operate a University Television Station. In his words, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Christian Anieke assured the elated audience that the Television station shall be sited at the school’s Permanent Site at Ugwuomu Nike.
