Enugu State Government is set to establish 260 Smart Schools across the state, in a groundbreaking initiative announced at the conference.
Professor Ndubueze Mba, the State Commissioner for Education, revealed the ambitious plan to transform all schools into Smart Schools, ensuring they are built to last for 100 years with community support. Work has already begun in 15 local government areas!
Key highlights from the conference:
Teacher Training: A robust plan to train teachers with 12 hours of online training weekly to meet new educational demands.
Parental Responsibility: Warning to parents against allowing children to roam or hawk during school hours.
Innovative Pedagogy: Experimental pedagogy to be institutionalized at GO University to produce problem-solving teachers.
Tech Integration: Mandatory for lecturers and students in the Faculty of Education to own and operate computers.

Professor Gozie Ogbodo, our Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Administration, emphasized that this initiative will revolutionize education in Enugu State and enhance the perception of teachers in Nigeria.
