The Directorate for Gender and Women Affairs, Godfrey Okoye University, in partnership with WAPMA Media Development Foundation, is marking the 2025 International Day of the Girl-Child with a Secondary School Awareness Programme on Preventive Measures Against Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).

The programme features four carefully selected female academic staff from different faculties of the University as facilitators, who will engage students in meaningful conversations aimed at education, empowerment, and protection of the girl child.

Special appreciation to our Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Christian Anieke, for his continued support, and to WAPMA for their collaboration in this vital initiative.
