The Head Teacher of Godfrey Okoye University Nursery and Primary School, Mrs. Ujunwa Ajibo-Eze described Cultural Day as a vital event that tells the rich stories, traditions, and way of life of different people and communities.

Mrs. Ajibo-Eze made the remark during the school’s colourful Cultural Fiesta and Valedictory Ceremony. She explained that the event aims to promote cultural dialogue, reduce stereotypes among ethnic groups, and provide young learners with a vibrant platform to develop creativity, showcase their skills, and deeply appreciate their diverse heritage.

In his address, the Chairman of the Parents-Teachers Association, Mr. Anthony Nwankwo commended the school management and teachers for their outstanding commitment to nurturing and educating the children. He also applauded the vision behind the Cultural Fiesta, noting that instilling cultural values at the foundational level of society fosters peace and strengthens mutual understanding.

The memorable event featured special award presentations to outstanding teachers, including Miss Peace Iheukwumere, alongside energetic cultural displays and traditional dances performed by pupils representing the Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Efik, and Ibibio ethnic groups.
