GOU TO PARTNER WITH ENUGU EAST LGA IN HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT

Godfrey Okoye University Enugu is set to partner with Enugu East Local Government in a groundbreaking initiative to invest 500 million Naira in human capital development over the next two years.

During a visit to our Vice-Chancellor, Reverend Father Professor Christian Anieke, the Executive Chairman of Enugu East LGA, Pastor Beloved Dan-Anike, announced that the comprehensive program will benefit over 1,500 people, offering educational opportunities for 500 individuals and vocational training for about 1,000 others.

Pastor Anike emphasized that the program will be inclusive, with some beneficiaries being non-citizens residing within the local government. He praised GOU’s outstanding contributions to education and called on other organizations to support efforts in filling the skills gap across Enugu State.

Our Vice-Chancellor, Reverend Father Professor Anieke, expressed our university’s readiness to support this transformative initiative. He highlighted GOU’s position as the leading private university in the South East according to global rankings and reaffirmed our commitment to shaping the future of our community through quality education and development.
