GOUNI Leads in Quality Education, Expands into Solar Energy Innovation

 

Godfrey Okoye University Enugu has been ranked No. 1 in Nigeria for quality teaching, according to the Times Higher Education ranking. The Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Christian Anieke, shared this during a news conference after the two-day Solar Energy Conference held at the university. He also revealed that GOUNI is among the top 200 universities in Africa and 5th among private universities in Nigeria.

As part of its commitment to innovation, a Solar Energy Centre will be established at GOUNI to promote solar energy adoption and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.

On medical education, GOUNI’s medical students will begin their second MBBS exams on March 10 before moving to clinical training at the Godfrey Okoye University Teaching Hospital. The university continues to support students, with seven medical students on scholarships and 50 others benefiting from sponsorships.

With strong leadership, mentorship of two universities in the South East, and a focus on discipline, hard work, and faith, GOUNI remains a leader in Nigerian higher education.
