GoUni VC Urges Christians to Live Out the True Meaning of Christmas

Christians have been reminded that the true essence of Christianity goes beyond mere church attendance, emphasizing that attending church is meant to help believers hear, internalize, and live by the Word of God.

The Vice-Chancellor of Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu, Reverend Father Professor Christian Anieke, gave this admonition in a homily during the Holy Mass held to mark Christmas Day and commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ.
According to Reverend Father Professor Anieke, authentic Christianity is reflected in living the life of Christ and possessing the grace to overcome temptations. He stressed that anything contrary to the life and teachings of Christ is not of God.

He further reminded the faithful that the birth of Jesus Christ brought hope and joy to the world, noting that the grace of God opens doors and the windows of heaven for those who remain steadfast in faith.

The Vice-Chancellor also assured Christians that nothing can harm a child of God except by the will of the Almighty Father.

Godfrey Okoye University joins the Christian faithful in celebrating the birth of Christ and reiterates the call to live out the values of love, faith, hope, and obedience that Christmas represents.
