Highlights from the 5th Anniversary and 2nd Graduation of the Institute of Caregiving Education
In his address, our esteemed Vice Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Christian Anieke emphasized the integral role of the caregiving certificate program, approved by the Senate and the Governing Council. He highlighted the growing demand for professional caregivers and the institute’s commitment to producing highly ethical values and sound morals graduates.
The Director of the Institute, Associate Prof. Blessing Udeh reflected on the institute’s journey from its humble beginnings to its current advancements in curriculum and student population. She praised the partnerships with Godfrey Okoye University Teaching Hospital and other health institutions, offering students invaluable experiential learning opportunities. However, she also mentioned the need for an operational vehicle to enhance student supervision during internships and called for support from the community.
We proudly announce the best graduating student of the 2023/2024 session, Mrs. Chimeremma Precious Ezeigbokwe. In her valedictory address, she acknowledged the challenges of the journey but affirmed the immense value of the experience. She praised the Vice Chancellor and the university management for maintaining high standards and urged the public to trust the institute’s graduates for their caregiving needs.
