Late Vincent Chukwuemeka Okolo, brother to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Bartho Okolo, laid to rest.
Late Vincent Chukwuemeka Okolo, a respected member of the community and brother to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Godfrey Okoye University Enugu, Professor Bartho Okolo, was laid to rest at his hometown in Umuezemosukwu, Obunagu Amankwo Eke, Enugu State. He was 76 years old.
During a solemn Holy Mass held in his honour, Rev Fr Pascal Ikediegwu delivered a poignant sermon, emphasizing the importance of love and virtuous living. He reminded the congregation that the quality of one’s life is more significant than its duration and cautioned against the pitfalls of greed and desperation.
Representatives from the Catholic Diocese of Enugu, including Very Reverend Father Ignatius Emefo, expressed their condolences to the grieving Okolo family. They offered prayers and support during this difficult time.
In a heartfelt remark, the Vice Chancellor of Godfrey Okoye University Enugu, Reverend Father Professor Christian Anieke, urged the Okolo family to find strength in faith and resilience as they mourned the loss of their beloved Vincent. He prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul.
