12 GOUNI Faculty Members Certified as STEP-S Trainers!
Twelve dynamic faculty and departmental representatives at Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu, have completed a rigorous one-week Train-the-Trainer workshop under the university’s Students Entrepreneurial Programme for Sustainable Development (STEP-S).
The certification ceremony marked the conclusion of a transformative training experience facilitated by master trainers from Mount Kenya University (Kenya), Leuphana University (Germany), and Godfrey Okoye University.
Mr. Christopher Uwakwe, Director of the Directorate of Entrepreneurship, praised the new trainers and emphasized that they will begin training undergraduate students in October. According to him, STEP-S is designed to equip students with practical entrepreneurial skills, empowering them to become job creators rather than job seekers.
Describing the workshop as one of the most impactful in recent times, Mr. Uwakwe reaffirmed the programme’s role in shaping the university’s innovation-driven academic culture.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Reverend Sister Professor MarySylvia Nwachukwu, congratulated the Directorate and applauded the commitment of the participants.
Participants, in turn, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the master trainers for delivering high-quality, life-changing instruction.
GOUNI is proudly nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs and changemakers!
