We provide quality education and engage in healthy extra-curricular, aiming at preparing students for their lives beyond graduation, forming them into principled, adaptable, and balanced people. Thus, making them happy Go.
Godfrey Okoye University instill in the students a life Philosophy that is put into action as they become alumni and go out into the world to uphold the set of values placed in them by the university. The alumni perspective formed by these values is key to retaining the strength of GO culture.
This is why students’ relationships with their alma mater shouldn’t end when they receive their certificates.

How Do I Give Back to My Alma Mater?
- Your expertise in the field of studies is a good way to show the world how Godfrey Okoye University shaped you mentally and academically into becoming who you are today. This builds our Institutions reputation.
- Alumni can offer a wealth of educational opportunities to current students by providing them with privileged information that can guide their own journey, testament to our Mission Statement, and Unquestionable Reflection of who we are.
- You can give back to GO by volunteering, donating, and sponsoring other students to finish their studies, especially those who, for one life challenge or the other, want to drop out. If you are better, you can choose to lift a hand by giving a scholarship.
- Alumni can encourage GO to win in competitions.
- Alumni working in various lucrative industries or firms can give back by informing other students in Godfrey Okoye University about their work and how they got there.
Objective of Alumni Relations:
The objective of the Alumni Relations is to make available a forum and platform to foster, encourage, and build a sense of belonging among the members of the Alumni.
Mission
The mission of the directorate is to open channels of communication between the University and its group of institutions and the Alumni.
- To provide them with the optimum career guidance and counselling.
- To provide graduates with the necessary training that will enable them to respond actively to the labour market requirements.
- The director aims to set mechanisms to maintain contact between alumni and its group of institutions.
- To help the Alumni to find job opportunities that benefit their field of specialization.
- To hold training courses for the Alumni to develop their skills and professional competence for University and its group of institutions.
OUR GOAL
- To strengthen bonds of fellowship and cooperation between the Alumni
- Fostering a sense of loyalty among the alumni towards Godfrey Okoye University and with our University employing ability.
- Promoting cultural, academic, and literary advancement of its members.
- Bringing graduates together to maintain a connection with one another
- To create networking opportunities and offer career advice, and develop Alumni digital ambassadors.
- To become a bridge between Alumni and students, as well as prospective students to stir a sense of community among graduates who will enhance our University reputation and contribute to its growth.

An Alumni association is important to an institution as it provides a network for former students to connect, support the university in various ways such as; fundraising, offer of mentorship to current students, enhancement of the university reputation of the promotion of a sense of community among graduates, and thus contribution to the university’s overall development and success.
