Celebrating Mothering Sunday at Omnium Sanctorum Chaplaincy, Godfrey Okoye University!
On this special Mothering Sunday, the Omnium Sanctorum Chaplaincy at Godfrey Okoye University Enugu was filled with gratitude, prayers, and love as mothers and families gathered for a solemn Holy Mass.
Reverend Father Professor Christian Anieke, the Rector of the Chaplaincy and Vice Chancellor of Godfrey Okoye University, delivered a powerful sermon, reminding the faithful of the significance of the Jubilee Year, a time for spiritual renewal and reconciliation with God. He encouraged families, especially mothers and fathers, to pray and work together for the well-being of their children and homes.
In the spirit of appreciation, the Catholic Women Organization (CWO) and Catholic Men Organization (CMO) leaders expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Reverend Father Anieke for his generosity in gifting wrappers to every member of their organizations each year, a gesture that symbolizes love and unity.
The occasion also witnessed a special visit from the Enugu State Commissioner for Works, Gerald Otiji, who shared updates on the ongoing 24 road construction project in Thinkers Corner, reassuring residents of its completion within the next three months.
As we celebrate this day, let us continue to honour and appreciate our mothers;our pillars of strength, love, and sacrifice. May God bless them abundantly!
