Building Skills That Work: GOUNI at the Forefront of TVET Training!

From June 24th to 27th, 2025, Godfrey Okoye University participated in the Competence-Based Training (CBT) for TVET, held at the Council Chambers of IMT Enugu and sponsored by GIZ.

The training focused on practical, hands-on methods designed to equip educators with the specific skills and competencies needed to teach effectively for various industries. With a strong emphasis on flexibility, industry relevance, and real-world application, CBT is transforming the delivery of training across technical and vocational fields.

Representing GOUNI were Mrs. Njideka Mbadugha (HOD, Admissions), Mr. Emma Shaa, Barr. Nora Udealor from the DOE and Mr. Michael Aniago.

Their participation reflects the university’s commitment to innovative, skills-based education that meets today’s workforce demands training that is not only efficient and cost-effective but deeply aligned with improving job performance.
