Godfrey Okoye University Students’ Unity Week Ends on a High Note!
The 2025 edition of the Students’ Unity Week at Godfrey Okoye University came to a colourful and spirited close with a Holy Mass celebrated on Holy Trinity Sunday at the university’s Thinkers Corner campus.
In his homily, the Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Christian Anieke, reflected on the importance of unity in diversity, an ideal deeply rooted in the philosophy of the university. He called on Nigerians to not only work towards national unity but also to respect the cultures of all ethnic groups. “Nigeria is not just Igbo, Hausa, and Yoruba,” he reminded the congregation. “Every tribe deserves honour and recognition.”
He also encouraged Christians to use the occasion of Holy Trinity Sunday to reflect on the value of family, love, and togetherness.
