Team Tech Titans of Gouni bags 2nd-Runner Up Position at Enugu Tech Fest

Godfrey Okoye University Makes a Mark at Enugu Tech Fest!

We celebrate the amazing performance of Team Tech Titans – Team 22 from Godfrey Okoye University, who finished as 2nd runner-up in the Enugu Tech Fest Hackathon held from May 7th to 9th, 2025.

Led by Oguelina Olivia Chinaza, the team included:

For the hackathon, the team designed and pitched Zempaa, a user-friendly online shopping app aimed at connecting buyers with verified local and regional vendors for fast, secure, and seamless shopping experiences. The project stood out for its innovation, clarity, and relevance.

The journey kicked off on April 25th, with 22 teams pitching their initial ideas. Team Tech Titans advanced to the semi-finals on May 5th, where they presented their improved concept to a panel of judges.

The grand finale held from May 7th to 9th featured inspiring talks, exhibitions, and hands-on training sessions. It all came to a close on May 9th with an award ceremony, and Team Titan proudly emerged as 2nd runner-up!

Looking ahead, the organizers of the Enugu Campus Hackathon—The Garage, in partnership with the Enugu SME Agency and Gensys Tech Hub will collaborate with the Directorate of Competitions to host an information session on June 6th at the Peters Mbah Law Auditorium. This event will help prepare our students for the next exciting stage of the Tech Fest.

Our students are ready to lock horns with other institutions in Enugu and emerge victorious.
