
Unity, Elegance, and Excellence: Ugwuomu Campus Wraps Up a Week to Remember!
What a week to remember. The curtain has fallen on the GOUNI Student Unity Week (Ugwuomu-Nike) 2025, and the campus is still buzzing with joy, elegance, and unforgettable memories.
From vibrant creativity to breathtaking style, Izunna Onaga of the College of Medicine stole the spotlight as he danced his way to victory in his iconic “On The Headlines” newspaper-themed outfit, earning the coveted title of Master GO.
The spotlight also shone on Chidimma Ruby Okoye from the School of Nursing, who emerged Miss GOUCOM, gracefully channeling Moana with strength, beauty, and poise. Her 1st Runner-Up, Udogwu Amarachi, also dazzled the crowd. It was a true celebration of talent, confidence, and expression.
The week wrapped up with a show-stopping Masquerade Ball Dinner, an evening of elegance, laughter, fine dining, and unity. Guests, including the Vice Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Dr. Christian Anieke, the Dean of Student Affairs, and other dignitaries, graced the event in full glamour.

These were part of the Best Dressed Awards presented by the Vice Chancellor in recognition of student excellence in fashion, leadership, and creativity.
As the week came to a close, the campus community gathered for a Holy Mass to mark Pentecost Sunday, invoking the presence and gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Earlier in the week, students enjoyed a thrilling Movie Night, viewing the Netflix-featured horror thriller “Mama”.
Miss Ene Precious Isioma, Acting Students’ Director of Press, reflected on the success of Unity Week, expressing deep gratitude to the Vice Chancellor for his immense support in making this year’s celebration truly historic.
