The management of Godfrey Okoye University Enugu is thrilled with our institution\u2019s incredible achievements in debate, public speaking, and essay competitions at state, national, and international levels!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the second day of our 12th Convocation Week, the Directorate of Competitions Day was a resounding success, showcasing the impressive talents and dedication of our students. The Vice-Chancellor, Reverend Father Professor Christian Anieke, proudly announced that GOU emerged as the Best Participating Institution and Most Creative Debate Team in the Enugu State Debate Competition for Tertiary Institutions and NYSC Members!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are incredibly proud to have two students who will represent Enugu State in national and international debates, a Student Ambassador, and a Best Single Debater from this prestigious tournament. Adding to this success, GOU reached the semi-finals of the West African Universities Debate Championship, and one of our students has reached the finals of the Abuja City Journal Essay Competition for Nigerian tertiary institutions!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Vice-Chancellor credited these achievements to the dedication of the Director of the Directorate, Mrs. Uchanta Chukwu, assuring that management will continue to support individuals who bring GOU to new heights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mrs. Chukwu expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor and management, promising that the Directorate will keep winning more laurels for the institution and the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were honoured to have the Auxiliary Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Most Reverend Dr. Ernest Obodo, at the event. He commended the Vice-Chancellor on GOU\u2019s growth and praised the extraordinary talents showcased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special thanks to Lady Jane Ndukwe, Director of Students Mentorship and Parents Forum, for her invaluable collaboration in hosting the Kindness Challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
