It was a day of faith, gratitude, and joyful celebration as the Omnium Sanctorum Chaplaincy, Thinkers Corner, Enugu, the chaplaincy of Godfrey Okoye University, held its 2025 Harvest, Thanksgiving, and Bazaar tagged “OLISAEMEZUO.”
The Holy Mass was officiated by the Vice-Chancellor of Godfrey Okoye University and Rector of the Chaplaincy, Rev. Fr. Prof. Christian Anieke, and attended by staff, students, families, and parishioners who gathered to thank God for His goodness and blessings.
In his homily, Rev. Fr. Michael Ogbu emphasized humility, unity, and identity in Christ. He reminded the faithful that God calls everyone to live in harmony and gratitude, saying, “God does not call the qualified but qualifies those He calls.” He urged Christians to express thanksgiving not only in words but also through their actions and offerings.
The Chief Celebrant, Rev. Fr. Prof. Christian Anieke, in his closing remarks, encouraged all to remain steadfast, wise, and grateful in faith, living intentionally with love and purpose.
The event featured vibrant praise, thanksgiving processions, and musical performances by the Godfrey Okoye University Live Band.
Among the dignitaries present was the Pro-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Christian Nwachukwu Okeke, who made generous donations to support the chaplaincy.
The Harvest Chairman, Chief Johnmary C.N. Anagolu, CEO of E & C Logistics Company Ltd, also gave a remarkable address and made a generous contribution in support of the chaplaincy’s mission.
Those who came for Thanksgiving included the staff and students of Godfrey Okoye University, Godfrey Okoye University Secondary School, Primary and Crèche, CMO, CWO, families, societies, and parishioners.
It was indeed a beautiful expression of faith and gratitude, a reminder that truly, Olisaemeezuo! (God completes all things).
