Chimamkpam Christiana Nwaneri is a proud graduate of Godfrey Okoye University’s Department of English and Literary Studies Education. Known for her passion, resilience, and versatility, she embodies the GOUNI spirit of service, scholarship, and innovation.
Graduating in 2020 with a Second Class Honours (Upper Division), Christiana distinguished herself not only through academic excellence but also through active involvement in student leadership and media engagements. During her time at GOUNI, she freelanced as an Igbo presenter with GO Uni Radio, using her voice as a tool for change and positive impact. She also served as the General Secretary of the Nigeria Federation of Catholic Students (NFCS) GOUNI Chapter (2014–2015), where her organizational and leadership skills shone brightly.
Her leadership journey began even earlier during her Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programme at the Institute of Ecumenical College of Education (IECE), where she held prominent roles including Press Director and General Secretary of the IECE Students’ Council of Honour (2014–2015). These formative experiences deepened her passion for service, teamwork, and transformational leadership.
Christiana is currently pursuing her Postgraduate Studies at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, where she continues to expand her academic and professional expertise.
Christiana’s story reflects the dynamic versatility of GOUNI graduates. From teaching and leadership to entrepreneurship and journalism, she demonstrates how an English and Literary Studies Education degree can open doors to diverse career paths in the classroom, the newsroom, and the marketplace.
