Thanksgiving Holy Mass to Mark the End of the 12th Convocation!

The 12th Convocation Ceremony of Godfrey Okoye University has been successfully concluded with a resounding call for mindfulness, gratitude, and simplicity in life.

In a moving sermon during the Thanksgiving Holy Mass, the Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Christian Anieke, encouraged everyone to reflect on the end of every activity and the purpose of their journey in life. He urged students to remain conscious of time, emphasizing that such awareness leads to timely graduation with excellent results.

The Vice-Chancellor also highlighted the importance of prayer, sacrifice, and forgiveness, cautioning against anger and hatred. He described the convocation’s success as a testament to God’s blessings on the institution, reaffirming it as “God’s own University.””

Fr. Anieke also appealed to parents to instill gratitude and generosity in their children and advised everyone to adopt a simple lifestyle in response to the economic challenges facing the nation.

The Dean of the Faculty of Education, Professor Ekene Osuji, in his vote of thanks, noted that the life one lives reflects the values acquired from institutions like GOUNI. He expressed profound gratitude to the university community and friends for their contributions to the success of this milestone event.
