Introducing our Emeritus Professor (1)

Following his investiture, Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu, formally presents to the global academic community Prof. Emmanuel Nnanyelu Adinna, Emeritus Professor of Environmental Management.

A pioneer in environmental management and one of the foundational pillars of Godfrey Okoye University, Prof. Adinna’s academic journey spans over six decades of teaching, research, institution building, and community service. From primary school teacher to Professor and now Emeritus Professor, his life reflects uncommon dedication, resilience, and scholarly excellence.

At Godfrey Okoye University, Prof. Adinna served as Pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, Pioneer Director of the Entrepreneurship Studies Unit, Pioneer Director and Patron of the GO-UNI Weather Centre, Pioneer Chairman of the Ceremonies Committee, Pioneer Chairman of the GO-UNI Cooperative Society, and Chairman of the International Conference on Biotechnology and National Development (ICOBAND), a landmark initiative that positioned the University on the global stage.

A prolific scholar, mentor, and international consultant, he has supervised scores of postgraduate students, authored numerous scholarly works, and contributed extensively to environmental policy, institutional development, and community advancement.

With this investiture, Godfrey Okoye University affirms Prof. Adinna’s enduring legacy as a scholar, institution builder, and mentor whose influence will continue to shape the university and inspire generations to come.
