The Director of Student Mentorship and Parent Relations, Lady Jane Ndukwe, explained that the directorate was established to help students adjust smoothly to university life by assigning mentors from the staff pool. She noted that the mentorship programme is compulsory and forms part of students’ character assessment. In his presentation, the Director of Entrepreneurship, Mr. Christopher Uwakwe, stated that the Directorate is committed to transforming the university into a “knowledge enterprise” by shifting students’ mindset from job-seeking to job creation. He noted that students are equipped with entrepreneurial skills and mindset that give them a competitive edge after graduation.
