The 2026 Policy Meeting on Admissions in Abuja has officially set the course for the new academic session, establishing 150 as the minimum cut-off mark for Nigerian universities. Godfrey Okoye University was actively involved in these critical deliberations, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Administration, Prof. Sergius Udeh, and the Head of Admissions, Mrs. Njideka Mbadugha.
Our participation at this high-level meeting, held at the Body of Benchers Headquarters, ensures that our admission processes remain perfectly aligned with national standards while maintaining the high academic rigour we are known for.
For parents and candidates navigating the 2026 admissions cycle, this clarity comes at a pivotal time. While the national benchmark is set, the focus at Godfrey Okoye University remains on attracting students who are ready to thrive in a disciplined and prestigious environment.
With the Minister of Education and heads of regulatory agencies setting a November 30 deadline for private university admissions, the window to secure a spot in our fully accredited programs, including our premier College of Medicine, is now officially open.
We remain committed to a seamless transition for new students, ensuring that those who meet the requirements can begin their journey toward professional excellence without delay.
